Surely the question should be why does America have such a huge opiod problem when compared with most other countries? What are people escaping from?

They should be more worried about Europe where everyone is seeking alternatives to American brands. In Spain, Starbucks, MacDonalds, KFC are empty. Toothpastes, razors beers, bourbons etc are piled on supermarket shelves. It will only worsen as things need replacing.

Hola from beautiful Spain. My current WIP, Darkness in Gibraltar, is the sixth in the Andalusian Mystery Series. Last year 3 of my other books hit the shops. 2 biographies and Nostalgia Man a cozy mystery set in Henley on Thames in England. See website for full details.
