They still think they can get their status quo back. That's their "white narcissism" on full display. Anyone else paying attention knows that the status quo is the problem, but whites are delusional because they installed propaganda.exe with the Noem patch.

I would like to think that most people have come to the understanding that Trump et al. are a symptom of the larger wealth and class crises at play, and that they won't reduce pressure despite changes to the window dressing.

I would LIKE to...

Sent the trailer immediately to her. We have a soft spot for "Drag Me To Hell" and "Army of Darkness" especially. Also, perfect title for the times, in a weird way.

Too early on my end to see the upcoming showtimes, but I'll probably catch a late show this week for Bone Temple and then make Send Help a date-night flick. Wife and I love us some Raimi.

I use a sandbox analogy. Sci-Fi and Fantasy are wildly different sandboxes.

Fantasy: You build the sandbox and all within it, so the rules are yours to make and break.

SF: The sandbox comes pre-built, but within it, you build atop a strong foundation, and its limitations inspire creativity.

You owe it to yourself to find this one.

...and so many philosophical and theological discussions, this really should be a must read for any sci-fi fan. @quinnsideas.bsky.social's video 3 years ago got me on the hunt for this book, and after my wife found it for me for xmas I dug deep into it again. Think 'The Three Body Problem"...

Feeling ya, Frankie.

Got a few complete shorts sitting around - even a couple Dragon ones! - and I'm feeling dejected trying to find homes for them. Any advice on finding the best magazines or any alts for getting shorts out there?
