On what planet was he when he thought electing Trump would make things better?
April 16, 2025 at 2:49 PM
He didn’t read it either… “God's boundless Love and Devotion to all Humanity”… what does Trump know about that?

Curious - ageist and proud! Lol. Anyway, listen to Matty Young on the radio - Women’s Hour, today, 14.50 mins in - and if you still hate him that’s your prerogative. You’d be made welcome at the Gnoll any time. The people and the rugby are honest. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...?
Woman's Hour - Employment Rights Bill, SEND, Neath RFC tweet, Spitfire Girls - BBC Sounds

Unless someone who is a decent person, not a misogynist, has got it wrong and apologised, and other non- misogynists feel a bit sorry for them. A misjudgement isn’t misogyny. You have no problem with being Ageist and don’t seem very apologetic about that, but hey ho, none of us are perfect.
March 12, 2025 at 7:44 PM
I’m not defending my club, I’m standing up for people I know to be decent people who are getting caned for a “misjudgement”. I’ve always argued for support for women and girls and always will, I can assure you. Pity you haven’t managed to apologise for your Ageism since this morning.
March 12, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Maybe we should just give up then. What’s the point if working towards it is long good enough. By the way, your the first person to call me “tired and old” (I’m only 61) - let alone a misogynist. Such hate-filled bigotry towards older men. Try harder next time.
March 12, 2025 at 10:21 AM
You’re misinterpreting a lot. We’re a proud town with plenty of strong females past and present. Misogyny isn’t a joke of course, but that wasn’t the intention. Someone got it wrong perhaps, and he has apologised and shown contrition.

See my other post about the fact that Neath RFC under previous management was close to bankruptcy. The start of a girls team came with the change. Its about opening the club up to all. It’s being turned around by a new team of local people - I’m not in the loop as to who all of them are.
March 12, 2025 at 10:15 AM
You might need to know that Neath RFC was on the edge of extinction a few years ago and local people have fought hard to stave off bankruptcy and make it a community asset. So it may not be as smoothly operated as some of the bigger clubs. Apologies.
March 12, 2025 at 10:10 AM
Another bizarre conclusion. You want to turn everyone into a monster. As a father and grandfather and foster father to a large group of women and girls I am the opposite to what you state because want them and all other women to be safe,
respected and empowered in every aspect of their lives.
March 12, 2025 at 10:09 AM
Yes.
March 12, 2025 at 10:04 AM
You’re not prepared to accept his apology or his contrition, which I know will be heartfelt and genuine. The idea that Neath is a hotbed of bigots is daft, frankly. You don’t know our town or its history or its values.
March 12, 2025 at 10:03 AM
I certainly don’t think that women and girls should be treated as anything other that fully equal in every respect and in every way. Empowering women and smashing barriers is something that we should all sign up to.
March 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM
What a bizarre conclusion to me pointing out that the Panthers have their own identity and website. So you’re happy with Agism I see - do we start a thread accusing you of Agism and bigotry now? I wouldn’t like to be “tired and old” in your presence.
March 12, 2025 at 9:55 AM
I don’t say anything to them. I don’t know who they are. They’re entitled to their opinion. I just know that the guy is a decent fellow whose done a lot to save the club and make it a community focused and inclusive. He’s been a force for good. That’s all I need to know.
March 12, 2025 at 9:51 AM
The girls team has been started to encourage the women’s game locally. Am I an idiot to think that that is a good thing? You seem determined to rubbish everyone
involved.
March 12, 2025 at 9:48 AM
You’re taking and hard line on this - fair enough. I’d never give an inch to misogynists or racists to bigots of any sort. I’m proudly woke and very comfortable at Neath RFC. It’s not a hotbed of misogyny and the owner is a very decent guy who’s mortified by what has happened.
March 12, 2025 at 9:47 AM
They’ve got their own website and identity. Neath is proud of them. Do you want them to be dependent? neathpanthers.co.uk

If the guy has made a miscalculation that’s all it is. Good people can get it wrong, but that doesn’t make them bad. The “owner” isn’t some big shot, he’s a decent and humble local guy who has pulled the club back from the brink and is putting it at the heart of the community. Visit us sometime!
March 12, 2025 at 9:41 AM
As a season ticket holder at Neath RFC who often takes daughters/grandaughters to games and events there I can assure you that the club is community focused and highly inclusive. No lies needed.
March 12, 2025 at 9:37 AM
If there’s been a misjudgement it really is only that. Hopefully there’ll be a full debate about the role of women in the club and sport and their continuing empowerment across wider society.
