So, the Moon still has quakes of a sort.

I seem to recall my parents saying he looked mature in a show called Redcap, and that was 10 years before The Sweeney. He was good at comedy, and was in Home to Roost, with Reece Dinsdale, who's good on here.

I remember reading your Dad's writings in the Luton News. Football hooliganism was so normal in those days that it seemed odd if a match was on and there were no scuffles. I also remember the regular power cuts, but I can't say that the '70s were too bad for me personally.

I didn't realise until quite recently that Saturn is really hogging the Moons in the Solar System, while we just have the one. A beauty though it is.

Hard to believe that John Thaw was only 36 when the series finished, and just turned 33 when it started! He seemed so mature to me as a kid and a good 10 years older than what he really was. Yeah, it was a gem.

Ah, nearly right, as they were both set in schools!

Amazingly, McGoohan was offered the role of Bond again. Turned it down again - and Roger Moore took the role.

Yes, I thought so. Loved Roger Moore in the Saint, but I saw him as the Simon Templar persona when he played 007. A funny Michael Caine/Roger Moore/Terence Stamp story... www.youtube.com/shorts/CLWlN...

Able would look great in a Prisoner blazer I'm sure. I have thought about getting one, as I live at number six.

Very possibly. The Prisoner seemed way ahead of its time re all the surveillance culture stuff. Though The Prisoner was, I guess, also influenced by 1984. So, I don't think it being repeated by ITV in '84 was a coincidence.

I dread the day when I hear some kid say: "Wasn't Paul Lennon in the Rolling Beatles?"

They should feel humbled at just being on hallowed ground.

I was going to buy 2 packs in a money saving offer earlier this week, but thought it was a bit too early. I hope I don't regret it... They're good value.

Pat McGoohan probably wouldn't have been impressed as he was quite strait-laced to the extent that he turned down the role of James Bond as too much kissing of women was involved. His Hell Drivers pal Sean Connery didn't have such qualms when he was offered the 007 role and the rest is history...

Have tried Marmite crisps this year. Nice, actually.

Nessie doesn't like tourists, so she's not going to appear for people looking for a photo for social media.
