We knew when the restocks were due at Smyths in Ireland, and they were available for a couple of days even in the most popular stores. Managed to get a couple of S&V ETBs for the kids. They were limited to one/person/product. Was registered for the invite on Amazon for the Mega Evolution ETBs.

Downloading for my flight now. However Tidal is such a mess, they reckon there's dozens of other albums by 'Ash' released in 2025, and I'm going to hazard a guess it's all AI trash.

It was alright. Full of sugar and e numbers! Preferred Irn-Bru though.

I fired up the beta, actually installing and playing it. I really did enjoy the 30 mins or so I played. I agree it had some edginess that MK8 is missing, and wasn't as haphazard as most other arcade racers, it felt skillfull. The track warping for each lap added some nice randomness.

I'm another one in this camp. Tiredness/lack of sleep, anxiety and stress all cause it to be much more impactful than normally - even though it never goes away.

I presume there's a Linux daemon that the FPGA is interfacing to, which is communicating with a regular USB-mounted drive? This doesn't eat into the Linux capacity too much? There was a lightgun integration with a Linux daemon that had too much overhead.

Wishlisted. Love me some Zachtronics-style games.

My daughter is sold (who had French Toast with maple syrup and bacon at Vanilla Pod last week, and loves sprinkles)

I'm past that. The kids don't need watching 24/7 now, so I put together a new gaming pc and sneak a guilty quick game daily. Might as well before too old and reactions and eyesight are (more) shot.

Dublin is cool in that they brought in subsidies a couple of years ago, capped the cowt of travel so you can use a bus, transfer to a tram or train within 90 mins and it costs 2EUR.

I had the C64 version. Wasn't quite as pretty.

Doesn't do it justice, you need to see the hologram effect in person (to make up for the extremely shallow gameplay...). I was far more entranced by the giant Virtua Fighter at the local bowling than this that came out around the same time give-or-take.

Sounds interesting, and looks amazing. Wishlisted as a reminder to return when my backlog isn't so great...

So there's me, once again with a once/hour service, which fairly frequently fails to run or gets diverted. Had this all my life, buses and trains for commutes.

You weren't aware of Terrence's position on 1x1 equalling 2, and other fringe ideas then? Peer reviewed they are not.

My go to game on the MiSTer. I originally bought it on day of release in GAME, and played it until unlocking all the characters, even if it was a bit repetitive. Saved buying Fighting Vipers.

It runs great. There was a crash if you let the demo mode a whole loop, but that was fixed. If you have a dual ram build then you can avoid some slowdowns on the fighters.

From our game of Jackbox Junktopia last night. I just happened to draw this as stained sofa as the random object.

100 EUR shipped seems to be the going rate on eBay. Worth it? As an Eva fan, and someone who owned the 80s McDonald's toys it seems a no-brainer even if they don't fit with my collection. Also, how tall are they exactly? They look like they could be 7-8 inches from the packaging being held!
