Educator and a love for photography. All images and posts are my own
I captured this on the promenade in front of my home. I find the stark contrast between the harsh concrete structures and the stormy waves crashing over the sea wall from the Liverpool Bay and the Irish Sea quite captivating. It was amusing to observe the guy standing beneath the “Danger,” sign.

The foundations are the building blocks of any structure. In an image, the composition is the foundation; the subject can be remarkable, but if you can’t find a suitable composition, you won’t have a foundation to engage your viewer.

I took this photo to use leading lines. This is one of those photos that I often wonder what she was thinking about and no she doesn’t have a phone in her hand.

The contrast between old and new is striking. The old brickwork and the new, distressed contemporary architecture with the old guy checking his smart phone. It says a lot about how progress can sometimes be seen as a negative thing; but progress is a part of our world, just like heritage.

More colour today. This photo always puts a smile on my face. I hope I captured the sense of joy and movement that you felt as you walked through the el Día de los Muertos celebration in Nottingham

Continuing on my saturated colour theam, I had forgotten about the Dora the Explorer helium balloons with a helping of Sponge Bob. Taken on a very sunny afternoon in Nottinham City Centre.

Thought I would start to look at the use of colour in my images. Can’t remember where I took this one but think it may have been Scarborough North Bay in the UK?

Golden dawn upon the tide, waves that shimmer, dance, and glide. Sky ignites in hues so bold, fire and amber, dreams unfold. Ships drift slowly, lost in light; morning whispers, soft and bright. Sunrise sings a fleeting tune; night melts to day, but oh, too soon.

I’m a big fan of this place, and if you ever find yourself in Manchester, you should definitely check it out. They even have a full-size replica of the R Stephenson Planet from 1830, for the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, the first inter-urban steam railway in the world. Sci & industry Manchester

Liverpool central library is well worth a visit just to look up. Looks a bit surreal but fascinating.

Good morning. I took this photo as a way of challenging myself to creating a none typical sunset.

Mods reflection. We have a big annual scooter/mods convention in New Brighton every year. Really colourful but stinks of 2 stroke fumes.

Thought i would keep up with the B&W. Taken in West Kirby marina, a cormorant soaking up the sun on the jetty.

Thought that I would start to post one of my images every day to make me stope and think for a minute for my self. Starting with a bit of Black & White for a change. Taken at the Marina in West Kirby, Wirral, UK A really calm day looking out to Wales and the Dee estuary.

Hollywood stars once came for the big-game fishing, but the return of a host of species to the depleted waters around Britain’s coast is a cause for quiet optimism From the outside, the Tunny Club looks like any other seaside fish and chip shop. A short…
