The rapid advancement of foundational AI models seems likely to continue for now. Those building products or wrappers in the short term merely to make up for model shortcomings might find themselves eventually “steamrolled,” to borrow the words of a certain AI CEO.

I’m really curious to see what the foundational AI model companies will come up with in the coming year. This past year has already been remarkable –almost surreal, actually. The pace of change is so rapid, it feels like we’re living in dog years.
