I think about this one a lot from Mark Manson. We shouldn't get annoyed with ourselves when [insert passion] doesn't do what it once did. It's up to us whether we change or push through, but this is natural.

Can a sentence be both motivational and absolutely terrifying at the same time?
Really enjoying going through this selection of short stories. Always great finding new voices. Even if they scare me shitless.

This is the power of reading. There are studies that show that, when reading, your brain actively models whatever the character is going through.

For all my creative peeps out there, take a break sometimes. It can be easy to wrap our entire worth and identity into 'being an artist', but real life is what matters.
Art comes from life, not the other way around. Make room for it.

As I pay close attention to what I read, I realise that it's the ones who clearly love what they do (the ones that would do it for free) that resonate with me. The ones who churn are the ones who don't leave a mark.
