My first was 7 in 98 on pc a Pentium 2, I was 11. It helped me learn english to progress the game, loved the amazing cinematics, the story and the graphics. Still my second favourite game of all time.

I think I know where it's going and I'm almost sure I wont like it. But at least the journey will be pleasurable, if they use the combat system and generable gameplay in future FF I will even like it because it was the needed FF breakthrough
