The still-life series “Symptom and Dream” is the first episode. Oaxacan demon figure and a one winged angel made of epoxy resin, modified by a student, set against a copper plate - an alchemical allusion to Venus - and a rainbow drawing by 7 yr. Old Lucas.

For Alla Prima challenge #2, any subject was allowed, so I went for this caramel, which I enlarged by 100x (approximately). In 30 minutes, a 9x12 painting requires an understanding of the process. Survey, Notan, Anchors, Gradation.
