A few of the reasons I'm leaving Spotify/streaming services. Having dozens of playlists gutted with some songs/albums lost forever and others re-licensed under new compilations/remasters is frustrating. I wish I had the foresight to buy some of these albums years ago before they became lost to time.

Finally got around to finishing out our Plex server with our local live TV line up. I've had a Hauppauge TV Tuner for the Xbox One lying around relatively unused (aside from the occasional live sporting event) and got it running on our server. Easy activation, DVR set up, and decent channel pick up.

Just found an old screenshot of Facebook from 13 years ago. Wild to see how things have changed and consider a time when social media was a genuine tool to help enhance connection.

Had some issues with getting the ML link between our Immich server and my desktop working, but realized I had one setting turned off in Docker that was preventing it from reading the port properly. Got that fixed and now my older 2070 is able to run all the fun features in Immich for us!

About halfway through getting our photo backups from Google in Immich and I think that photos duplicated across albums get hit in these counts. That said, learning that you have more than 100,000 photos between you and your wife is kind of crazy...

We don't even have kids yet!

It's been almost a week and I gotta wonder, has TWICE been holding back Chaeyoung? Her debut solo album is essentially perfect. It's KPop fueled by Frank Ocean (especially the first few tracks) and hits all the lofi girly pop vibes flawlessly.

Really touching to hear Our Daily Bread talk about Jane Marczewski on Saturday's devotional. She's always missed.

Sometime between Genesis 2:16-17 (where God instructs Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) and Genesis 3:3 we know that Adam must have shared this instruction with Eve.

"Nothing can be said in palliation or excuse of human guilt; and, therefore, he who bore its whole weight stood speechless before his judge."

Morning and Evening by C.H. Spurgeon, reflecting on Matthew 27:14.

I don't know why it's taken me this long but Severance is really channeling a lot of Dollhouse vibes, huh? I should have immediately picked up on it with Dichen Lachman's casting but this is just so much more than I could have hoped for a spiritual successor to Dollhouse.

Thanks to a dear friend I've discovered the joys of Aeropress coffee. How have I never owned for all these years?! This feels like cheating, like a Keurig for coffee snobs!

Just heard a real life human drop the classic "Yeah and I'll have a million dollars on the side" when ordering with the barista.

Do I shake his hand? Do we all start slow clapping? What's the protocol here?

I haven't posted anywhere else online about it, but I started a coding job about 4 months ago.

4 months in and every day I still get to feel like an idiot when I can't a solve a problem, and then a genius when I solve it. (And inevitably feel like an idiot again during code review.)

Today is Thanksgiving 2023. 22 years ago today I played Halo: Combat Evolved for the first time at my cousin's house. This one game would change everthing and turn a Nintendo kid into an FPS fan.
