M'latest Patreon video has a little more on what's led to the forthcoming radio drama about the first radio drama...
...and I honestly think without the patrons & matrons who've supported there, this research wouldn't have happened & the drama wouldn't have happened. So thanks!
Thanks for the kind words about the forthcoming Radio 4 drama (about the first radio drama) - more about how it came to be on m'latest Patreon video.
(£5/mth, all helps buy books etc... which have led to this radio drama! So thanks all who support there)

Thanks, Beeb, for 103 years of informing, educating, entertaining... + occasional employment.
I'm sure that what the BBC could be is always > than what it is. Its goals are immense + often unachievable. But 1000s of staff do what they can to get it there.
And I've loved delving into how it began...

This episode written (and recreated by @paulkerensa.bsky.social) directed and edited by me, all put together in just over a week! Have a listen, it’s lots of fun.
In a tough week for BBC present, there's a centenary of BBC past on Wed.
12 Nov 1925 saw a bizarre broadcast:
'Mass Telepathy: An Experiment in Thought Reading In which every listener will be invited to assist'

Today is THE day to listen to this centenary re-enactment. Ideally tonight at 10:15pm. But why wait...
NEW PODCAST AHOY!
A dramatic centenary re-enactment of an odd lost broadcast...
On 12 Nov 1925, a celebrity panel tried to read the minds of BBC listeners. It was a disaster.
On 12 Nov 2025, we dramatise it, based on newspaper articles.
Enjoy! We did. Hic.

The latest @bbcentury.bsky.social podcast is a centenary dramatisation of a lost BBC broadcast...

On 12 Nov 1925 a celeb panel in a fancy hotel enjoyed wine + a gothic parlour game. The Celebrity Traitors of 1925!

On 12 Nov 2025 we re-enact 'An Evening of Mass Telepathy'.

Enjoy!

£40k = reported fee for each Celebrity Traitors player
x 19 players = £760k total
£1.5m = Nigel Farage's reported fee for I'm a Celebrity 2023
so
£Balding+Beaumont+Bonnar+Burns+Carr+Church+Codd+Daley+Empson+Faith+Fry+Garraway+Imrie+Marler+Mohammed+Omilana+Olusoga+Ross+Wilkinson = 1/2 £Farage
