Thanks for the feedback. I hope this helps. I'd say practice in a bunch of situations and you should find your way. Another thing to maybe do is use the airbrake/tightrope walker arm position. This video isn't really an in-depth how-to it's more intended to be some drills to add to your toolbox. Ty

Touch 1st, then once you are stabilized that should be a decent time to move your foot off the rail and forward. If the board is moving around and unstable keep it touching the rail, but still apply some of that forward pressure with your hip flexors & quads to resist the foot from bumping back.

I typically aim for a natural hip width when it comes to foot placement. But the proximity is along a spectrum from sketchy to safe.
To avoid the rear wheel, I push forward which I feel is a safer bet than pinning your ankle to the deck.

I'm on the fence. I appreciate it & brace this way when roads are rough, uneven, or potted, or when I have weak wobbly legs (for whatever reason). But otherwise, I try not to use it. I don't like people being dependent on the practice. I don't like when people do this with an elevated heel.

Okay I've heard some really great things about their algorithm. Awesome. Thank you.
