Wildlife artist. Love music, nature and being grumpy. Not keen on tories, trumpies or right-wingers in general. I also prefer sci-fi to fantasy but eat both happily enough. Dutch and British citizen. Thinks everyone should pay their tax.
We were just talking about this album this evening at our dinner and we disagree, pt 1 is way better than pt 2 and by the way did you know My Little Pony paid tribute with their own cutie mark crusaders version at some point?

But hey, this has been staring at me for the last 2 hours, what's the point?

It's no longer for sale and smelt faintly of hot nuts when I handed it over. So love this stupid print on the floor instead. The tiger in the painting was called Tamair (310kg), he was a loner, but every time I sat close to him he would sidle up, I painted him many times

to protect the painting I was working on. It was at the Nottingham Goose Fair one of the biggest fun-fairs in Europe. Here's the painting I did that weekend - "In the Place of Rainbows and Thunder" [and sticky nut juice dripping constantly on my head], I can still smell it.

So if you think you're likely to get in a drunken bar fight or street fight it's beneficial to drink red wine instead of beer. My work here is done. I hope I have helped. #Doom2016

I've been doing research, proper scientist stuff. Doom 2016 - what is the least debilitating - 3x quad Belgian beer or a bottle of red wine. They're about the same alcohol content. It turns out red wine is far better than beer for aggressive activity. 1/2

This is a Top Trump Card, from a Top Trump game, probably called Supercars. You have half the cards each, you choose an attribute and hope your opponent has less than you. It has nothing to do with the nazi in charge of the US military.

Somebody's grumpy tonight. I'm off to play sjoelen. Jeez.

Did anyone else see this: it's apparently a "pilot hole". Now I know a few pilots, but they're not that powerful:

I know you think I need to appreciate "rap music" (weirdly translated as "authentic Black music") but I just don't. Sorry for you. I don't want to be shouted at by anyone, I certainly wouldn't pay for it. I don't want to see the bling or crib of anyone who shouts at me. It's not music.

@wildpalmsltd.bsky.social Does this count? Couldn't find Makatoni and the Builders, the Shikisha Boys or The Extensions on youtube, have them on vinyl but just not here anymore: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQMA...

Last year's one was a little too industrial and not what I wanted. Got there eventually.

Gorgeous. I got a similar dawn shot a couple of days ago, just outside Schouwerzijl, Groningen, Netherlands.

I am going to SO plague you with that forever

There's nothing floating around in this one. Kasteel is cheap supermarket strong beer here when I can't afford Gulden Draak red and black, had to go next door to the booze shop to get a Cuvée version, because I'm on holiday ;)
August 12, 2025 at 11:10 PM
@paulblinkhorn.bsky.social My first one of these tonight, very interesting biertje, tripel, 10%, tastes fantastic, but it's ALIVE! there's "things" floating around in there, going up and down with the bubbles.
August 12, 2025 at 10:03 PM
The supermarket beer is what I was on about. There's brilliant beers everywhere. In the Netherlands in the supermarket you can get some great stuff without any effort or even having to fork out too much. 6xJH tripel (8.5) and 6xJH Grand Prestige (10%) this weekend for 11 euro's.
August 10, 2025 at 6:44 PM
Yeah but it's all like 3%. My gut's big enough without drinking 3 gallons of German beer to get a buzz. Here's a Dutch beer 8.5% and really yummy.
August 10, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Oh dear, I look on from the Netherlands and remember well the "problem" British people have with beer. Last time I was there, it was torture in the supermarket isle just deciding what to buy, it's all shit.

This is how dodgy I looked back then:

Mayburgh Henge is up there. One of the best ancient places I've ever visited. There was a really old fallen tree there with so much to tell me:
