The new Comreg text checker only screens the SenderID but fraudsters just use random mobile numbers to get around it. The only solution is a scam filter to scan all text messages as has been deployed in other English speaking and EU countries.

Speaking at the CBI Financial System Conference this morning Paschal Donohoe reflected that EU countries with large pension funds had a better record of long term infrastructural investment and welcomed next year’s auto enrolment scheme as a positive step to provide the same role in Ireland.
