I grew up on Tyneside in the 1970s. It wasn’t the TV that was in black-and-white, our entire life was in black-and-white.🥵

When it was new, a German magazine pointed out the similarity in the front and rear styling to the Renault 15/17.

IMHO it’s clearer if you compare the two-door Passat with the R15.
