A former musician and tech guy. Now I just try to make the world a little more joyful.
What a pile of bullshit. People who can’t stand on their own merits want to tear down an arguable great leader. I hate living in a world filled with powerful people who are devoid of character.
somehow reading this made me even more persuaded that this is more about the resentments and ax grinding of professional commentators than an honest electoral analysis www.thenation.com/article/poli...

I’m wondering how lawyers are feeling knowing that everything they’ve learned is now useless and the outcomes of all their cases are at the whims of a handful of sociopaths.

Just keep creating. Just keep building. Just keep performing.

If there’s anything to be learned from this shitshow, it’s that if you keep moving forward it’s harder to slow you down.

If an e-commerce site has a problem, it doesn't suddenly collapse on someone and crush them to death under it's weight. Tech bros often forget this when they try to apply "move fast and break things" to non-tech spaces. In a reasonable society, we would have guardrails preventing these disasters.

Too many "great" men suffer from the same delusion: I'm better than everyone else, the rules shouldn't apply to me.

This is ultimately a path to anarchy, for even when several people band together to achieve this goal, they will inevitably stab each other in the back at some future date.

When FAA employees are telling us it’s not safe to fly, we should probably listen.

The entire notion that anything other than a business should be run like a business is absolutely insane, and displays a profound shortsightedness. Governments and Society should not be run like a business. Only a heartless sociopath would want that.

I keep getting texts from Democrats decrying the state of the Nation, and then asking me for money. I am no longer convinced that the Democrats are not merely a fundraising organization to fund further fundraising. I will reward them financially when I see material progress in restoring Democracy.

I guess it all makes sense when you consider that Musk believes he's living in a simulation and he thinks everyone but him is an NPC.

But Jesus, wearing a baseball hat in the Oval Office? Talk about disrespect.

I suppose giving speeches and asking for money is ONE WAY to deal with an active crisis. Perhaps just not the way we need right now.

I still don't get Democratic leadership. It's like they're the firehouse captain, seeing the couch in the living room is engulfed in flames, and deciding to give a speech on the perils of smoking indoors right before asking for a donation.

Buddy, suit up and turn on the hose!

The correct response to a crisis or tragedy is "This is terrible, our hearts go out, and we're going to do everything in our power to figure out why this happened and ensure it never happens again."

The wrong response is to take no responsibility and blame minorities. That's weakness.
