I’m sure it’s extremely difficult but if there was any justice you and Neal Stephenson would each have several books in production. There’s so many bad and mediocre SF films and very few good ones, yet we have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to SF books.

When I was younger I felt it was important to explore other planets. Then at a certain point I realized that all the tech they are developing to live in a hostile environment will really just be what we need on earth to survive period on this planet in the near future, which is pretty depressing.

Talk about deflection! Do the Dems bear some of the blame? Sure. But millions of people sat this out or voted third for lame holier than thou “perfect candidate” reasons knowing it would win Trump the White House and I will always blame them far more.

When a family member or a friend is an active addict you can’t enable them and that sometimes means cutting them off. But when they are ready to get clean you have to take them back without judgement.
