Or reactionary centrism, as I call it. And I agree entirely with those critiques. I just cannot imagine how a world in which Trump won over Harris by an even greater margin would be better for anyone. And it's incoherent to rail against electoralism while gushing about Mamdani.

There's this tendency among some leftists (definitely not just Gender) to condemn the practice of pragmatic electoral politics as liberal (that means bad). Because it's not revolution. But they still support Sanders, AOC, Mamdani, etc.

But I'm pretty sure Mamdani is a Democrat. I'd even argue he's a liberal (liberal socialist). He's certainly not an anarchist, and he's already demonstrated a pragmatism in working with non-socialist Democrats (e.g., Gov. Hochul). I know some people who even supported *Mamdani* as the lesser evil.

Okay, there's a narrow point she makes well. Mamdani showed us how to run a brilliant and successful campaign without throwing Muslims or trans people or any other marginalized group under the bus.

Anarchism is better than firebombing a Wal-Mart, I guess. But what frustrates me is the incoherence. We can't just keep voting for the lesser evil, and instead we should do anarchism. But she's *very* excited about @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social.

By the end of the video she's revoked her ambivalent 2024 endorsement of Kamala Harris, and seems to wish more people would've abstained.

Gender is sort of all over the map, targeting Ezra Klein, Gavin Newsom, the Abundance Movement, and the "Democrat Party." She beefs with Klein for identifying more with Charlie Kirk as a political commentator than the marginalized people Kirk would've fed into the meat grinder. I agree entirely!
