Hey, I am genuine!
Why else would I put my old torn clothes in the trash!?

It acquires its victims' memories and biology.

It may never of being a sentient space fairing species to begin with.

It spreads like a parasitical cancer.

If it was smart enough to begin with it could spread even more easily and insidiously.

Either way all life on earth be fucked.

Exactly like the Team America epilogue.

I often think of a vaporising doomsday weapon not just to destroy all human life and its inherent stupidity here but in all afterlifes (if there is such a thing).

"Fuck it, I've had enough of this stupid shit! Where's the fucking button!!!"

But Scotland would get relegated from it.

*small scale.
November 15, 2025 at 10:35 PM
You could, but it has to be enforced somehow. Corporations could just move to a country that doesn't enforce them.

Even adding small amounts of weight will make most scale scale projects unviable and more costly.

America doesn't even like flight controllers anymore so good look with oversight.

Being held accountable.
Also easier to commit fraud and grift under a puppet lame duck president.

Even Anne Frank could see it!

Both require an obscene amount of fuel. Often more than the initial launch. Hence why sending stuff into space is difficult and very very expensive.

Just a nudge to burn up in atmosphere would be enough.
November 15, 2025 at 7:40 PM
The Thing probably never made the ship either, just hijacked its hosts.

So it mirrors the huskie scene. It may have even been chased to earth by crazy space swedes.

This and the "give me 3 examples now!!!" lot.

No I won't. Go to a library.

The beeb has never been impartial and has huge corporate business interests.

But I agree with the rest.

Grassroots and new indies can help but they can be easily muted by buy-outs, threats, and the sticky side of law (regs and lawyers) the latter working both ways.
November 15, 2025 at 4:08 PM
As long as the "Sure thing" that is the license fee and it's international business model which is at odds with its supposed mantras' it will not change for the better.

A corrupt monopoly is never changed from within. At least none that I can remember from history.

When all's said and done I'll still have to live with the fact that Mambo no.5 has been ruined for me!

"But it's great at covering foreign affairs!"

Every state broadcaster is good at that. It's the shit happening at home they never cover properly.
November 15, 2025 at 3:47 PM
Get rid of forced subscription 3rd rate entertainment (its not news or current affairs) channel that only seems good at promoting The Old Mosley Boys Club.

Disney and Fox news already exist we have no need for another one.
November 15, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Scrap/private subcribe base the "entertainment" bits, break up the rest and run local news variants thru tax subsidy.

That way you keep some of the good bits but most importantly get rid of the for only toffs and corporation behemoth.
