"I am writing this to rebuke myself.
I want to act prophylactically before my fear (that I might be fired from my comfy and rewarding job, that the administration’s goons might come for me personally) eclipses my rage. My contempt."

What Will You Do?
What’s your “I am Spartacus” move to protect the more vulnerable, the targeted, the invisibled, the next-on-the-list?

I couldn't find a St. Patrick's Day card that I like, so I made my own. (My Irish grandmother probably never read James Joyce, but she would have hated him. She definitely would have hated Sinéad O'Connor. In fact, she didn't care much for me, either.)

Even those founding fathers recognized this when they coined that motto, and it was echoed by the US military motto "in diversity is our strength," which of course Pete Hegseth, the utterly unqualified white nationalist idiot now in charge of the military recently denounced.

Zeno's Paradox applied to king cake: if you keep eating only half of however much king cake remains, you will never finish the cake. (But the application fails when the knife is wider than the remaining piece of cake.)

This is climate arson, yes, but also the entire value proposition of Tesla, the reason for its insane stock price, is that it would end up the Amazon of electric cars: the only real game in town. Killing off non-Tesla electric car infrastructure is a gift to Musk.

They can do that in their official capacity. We can be noisy about all things LGBTQ in our unofficial capacity. I have faith in New York, where graffiti became glorious and spray-can Michelangelos abound. If I were in the Village, I'd ask every home and business to put a Q and a T in the window.

The preferred suffix for labeling scandals seems to be "-gate," so it's clear what we should call any scandal involving Elon Musk: "Elongate."

Listening to Daniel Lanois, I have fond memories of my relatives who switched between English and French numerous times in a single sentence. Today is a good day to think of them as I worship in the psychedelic church.
