Proud to have done a bit of detective work to track down Colin Dawson — the lead singer of The Who before they were The Who — and interview him for the Season Two finale of my podcast

The face of a man at 3:50am, waiting for a Zoom video to download having just recorded a live two-hour podcast, feeling slightly delirious, listening to Northern Soul recommendations. Happy Thursday!

I’ve never had the chance to play at the 100 Club as a musician, but interviewing someone on stage about their new Who book is a pretty good consolation

If you’re a Who fan and able to get into London, then you’ll love Who’s Next

I never thought ‘interview someone on stage at the 100 Club’ was going to be on my Bingo Card of Life, but there you go

Out with my dear old mum to see Robin Trower at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire tonight. A nice meal and drink in the Sindercombe Social beforehand, and now a cheeky pre-gig pint in the Empire bar, where I spotted a collage of the night (before) I saw The Who here in ‘99

My first day of chemo, 4 years ago today. I think wearing my Who T-shirt that day may have been a good omen…

That moment when you’re listening to an American import you’ve had since childhood and find out your Who podcast has hit triple figures for downloads in a single day for the first time. Small numbers in the grand scheme of things, but at this early stage in the podcast’s existence, it’s a big win
