I interviewed for a UX Design position a few months back, got to the final 2, I got passed over because the other candidate had experience of designing packaging. Not one reference to this in the spec. And they only lasted 3 months according to linkedin!

Here's mine.
1. Foul throw is a free kick, not a throw the other way.
2. Var reviews have a 10 second limit, if it's not clear and obvious then onfield decision stands
3. Handball is anything below the elbow
4. Offside is daylight between the players
5. Non-captain speaks to ref is a booking

The number of times I've been railroaded by "we are not going to do it that way", I've stopped looking for UX Design jobs. I've failed so I'm going to know my place now, and that place is shaking my head at React

You then start down the road of "design as code" and enter a while world of pain. I'm a dev that has tried to become UX Design and I'm at the point of giving up because my portfolio hasn't got isometric mock screens. How do you "showcase" difficult conversations?
