That's unfortunate! The Plymouth-class is a nice design, though; I've wanted a STO Pioneer since Agents of Yesterday came out, almost as much as I wanted an actual Pathyeager.

Maybe it's something that'll be adjusted later?

"it would be impossible to train today’s leading AI models without using copyrighted materials" - so either pay for it, or do the sane thing, and don't do it in the first place! They don't care for the people they hurt now, but they're gonna be pissed when AI starts taking Business Executive jobs!

Kitbash Bundle: One ship with parts to create the Yeager/Pathyeager, another with parts for other kitbash ships who haven't yet made it into STO.

Ysanne Isard as a Romulan?

Colour me intrigued and confused at the same time...

Yes, yes I do. I usually skip the bits on DS9 though. Spaceship go zoom-zoom pew!

Blair will be wearing them too, right? :P

That's a fair point, but I think the dynamic of "being paid to run a streamed game" is different to "charging people to play in a streamed game".
January 6, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Paid games shouldn't be streamed. If a player is paying for a service, the onus is on the GM to ensure the service is provided to the best of their ability. Catering to an outside audience as well means they aren't doing that.

To be fair, posting rates aren't what they used to be. You'd be fine making one post a week and not be holding anyone up.

The only named Oberth-class in the franchise to not explode at some point, surely?

I have it on mine as well, it's just more useful to your career choices than mine! 😂
I guess I can argue that the players often act like small children to justify it to an education employer?😆

My wife crochets scarves and such, but wanted to try making the little animals you see on Etsy and other places, so I bought her a beginner kit. She's in much the same boat as you, now. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and embrace the mistakes! It's going to be awesome!

I actually needed to hear this today. Thank you!
December 27, 2024 at 8:34 PM
I think you should totally do that. Not that I'm biased, of course...

I want to get the Voyager and Val Jean sets and combine them... Not sure they're the same scale, but I'll make it work! Frankenstein Fleet FTW!

The battle between the Enterprise-E and the Scimitar felt a lot like the battle between the Enterprise and the Romulan Warbird in Balance of Terror in reverse. As a kid I didn't get it (but yay, space battle!) but now it's something I appreciate; the Enterprise isn't always going to just win.

I wonder if Shaxs, in particular, feels a kinship with Rutherford. As one of the few Bajorans in Starfleet, it likely took him time to find his place. Perhaps he sees Rutherford, also a rarity, and sees a little of himself in there.

That's my take on it, anyway 🤷‍♂️
