Happily retired for over 6 years but still busy with the Boro, politics, YCCC, England Cricket, Hull FC, gigs & real ale although not necessarily in that order.
Dropping 5 points against Wednesday means we don’t deserve a lot from the season. Both games sum us up, good first halves but total abject failure in the second. For me a distinct lack of leadership.

McGree or Forss should be in for the gloved clown.

To start Iheanacho & Burgzorg is a mistake, neither contribute enough to the team & there are better options in Forss, Whittaker & McGree. Accommodating them also means Azaz is pushed into a role where he’s not involved enough. That said we could have taken a point last night.

Stuart Boam, a proper centre half and leader.

Solid if somewhat laboured performance but great to turn it round with two wins in a week. There is a distinct lack of movement when we have the ball & Doak in particular has been a huge miss. Hackney & Morris were tremendous in their work rate, optimism returns.

There’s only two people being disrespectful there and Zelensky isn’t one of them. A very sad sign of the times we live in, arrogant facist bullies.

As far as I know there isn’t another club who sing this, it’s fairly rare that we sing it these days but I would class it as “our song”. Would life it to be used more frequently.

Can only be We shall overcome. ZDS semi final at Villa was the finest rendition, a significant time to sing it.

It’s because he comes over as a decent person that he’s been given leeway by the fans but it’s not just about him. What about his backup staff? Hopefully he can turn it round but a tough job to lift confidence. Always try to travel in hope, a long train journey home if we lose.

The pressure is on & last nights continuation of poor form doesn’t look like being addressed. When 3 out of 4 defenders have difficulty defending we’re always going to ship goals. We’re not creating enough partly due to Azaz’s demise & look like a team with little confidence. Concerning.

It has developed in the short time I’ve been using but will probably be months before it gets real traction. As the alternative was to stay on a what is now a cesspit owned by a raving lunatic there wasn’t much choice.

Crace sums up Philp very well. When I see him I get confused as to whether I should be laughing or cringing that such an obvious imbecile has risen to such a position, that is a huge issue for the Tories. They have such a dearth of talent people like him prosper.

The press in question are generally those who wanted to appease Hitler, nothing changes. Unfortunately the rise of the right has been accelerated by the likes of Musk who is in no doubt a true believer in racism, as is Trump. Can we stand by & let it happen?

Mendacious man child praises mendacious nappy wearer, so what? It’s that some Der Sturmer readers believe & agree the filth poured out is the sad part.

It has to be played carefully but the uncertainty due to his volatility & inconsistency could be to our advantage. Reciprocal tariffs necessary if they are imposed? Ultimately the markets will have a say & economic stability here will be a great advantage. Need to stay strong.

Need a win today, pressure on. Come on Boro!
January 18, 2025 at 2:39 PM
Doesn’t seem like a great fee but are there any other offers?
January 16, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Very disappointing performance, we didn’t create anything & got what we deserved. Plus points in game time for Hamilton, McCabe & Gilbert but very little to be cheerful about. Carrick’s team & squad, time to deliver.

A very fine summary of the disgusting opportunism shown by a leader who can’t lead, merely dancing to the tune of the loudest piper.
January 9, 2025 at 9:10 AM
Any normal, rational person should see through the pathetic game playing by the likes of Badenoch & Jenrick. It’s horrendous that they’re trying to capitalise on the suffering of children, truly vile opportunism.

Would she have said anything if Musk hadn’t went on a vile trail?
January 8, 2025 at 4:37 PM
She’s been spotted on Frodingham Road getting a pint of milk on her way to her ancestral home nearby.

We ground that one out, not a great watch. We were in the main stand with the Hull fans & there was an air of desperation, very poor side. Hull supporting mate said he hadn’t seen a decent performance at home in 2 years. Very satisfying result.
