Before the Pixel 10 announcement Google has a deal for the Pixel 9a for $399. I picked up the Obsidian (black) color with 128 GB of storage. Perfect for my needs so far, but kind of wish I went with a more fun color.

Same. RCS has made moving away from iMessages a breeze, plus I have been using Signal more. Apps wise I haven't found an alternative to iOS that has been an issue. Plus I put GrapheneOS on mine which has been great.
