Today I learned a new embroidery technique - fringe - and decided to make some hand sanitizer holders and TicTac mint holders. Also made some appliqué too. Cute! I will be looking to make more fringe-y things.

Made a couple of canvas tote bags for some dog-loving friends. Making tote bags from scratch is rather satisfying. I'll put this on my 'things that make me happy' list. :)

We lost our Abby yesterday.
She broke a tooth in March. Pre-surgery bloodwork showed extreme anemia. Results: unknown origin most likely autoimmune. She tolerated treatment for almost 3 months.
My heart hurts. My heart is broken and the house is just too quiet now. Even Ziva, her sister, is quiet.

Just spending the morning making a western PA favorite - Syrian buns… thanks to a recipe from an old St George Orthodox Church cookbook. Those ladies did not share their ‘secrets’ though but I figured it out through trial and error. Lots and lots of error.

To all those mourning the loss of TikTok, I get it. I was there and it was fun. But Google the Star Trek Next Generation episode called "The Game". If the similarities don't make you uncomfortable then you aren't paying attention.
