It can’t be stressed enough — these people are dangerous but at their core they are pathetic fucking losers

Not sure how it works when the estates of people killed in a crash sue the federal government, but the boss of the helicopter pilot admitting fault like this might not help their defense. Literally no previous president/governor/mayor would speculate like this 3 hours post-crash, it's embarrassing.

I think when a pilot is cleared for visual separation, that means it's their damn job to 1) see, and 2) NOT HIT the plane. ATC was confirming they made that promise, helicopter pilot appears to have not fulfilled it. Could be other factors, but flying directly into the landing path seems bad.
