Doesn't this just capture the moment they are trying to crush .....

Yah..I can . as Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house, I can see Amerika ..only some 10 miles to the East and 20 to the South.
Haven't been there in 10 years ..won't be going again .. too many fascists in control, a replay of 1930's Germany ... USA now becoming Trump's Fourth Reich

Not too shabby eh?.I lug around a Nikon D850 with 120-400 Sigma, Nikon D750 with 24-105 Sigma (both beautiful set ups especially with Polariser filter) and small Olympus OM-D EM 5II 12-50 lens BUT 50% of time I use the iPhone. I suspect iPhone17/18 Pro will have stunning tele. Meanwhile NIKONS

Just a few, random mid summer iPhone 16 Pro photos here on Sth Vancouver Island, BC.
Must confess I am still ( after 10 months) blown away by the images that the iPhone can capture - as long as keep the magnification below 5X.
So just a few random summer 'snaps' - edited on Mac in Pixelmator Pro

What I'm especially happy with is the very much improved ultra wide ( 24mm view equivalent of the old 35mm lenses )
Photo 1. Normal Wide 24mm Horizontal
Photo 2: Ultra Wide 12mm "
All from same standing position.
And Vertical , Ultra Wide

The iPhone16 Pro sure takes a very good photo - especially if one shoots in Apple RAW ( ie. editing improves capture and are ok with large 24-26mb file size )
Here's my iPhone screen ..... capture of early spring of Salish Sea, from Oak Bay , BC.

Enough politics, especially trying to share a 7 min long video -

Sat out on my back deck here in Victoria, BC on a mild Spring day with the Nikon D850/Sigma 120-400 combo and trued to 'capture' some little 'feathered' friends at the feeder.

Photos tweaked a little, Pixelmator Pro on the Mac

What's up with
@SmugMug

Has Trump shut it down?
Is there an extra tariff to log in?
I can't log in... just get a pretty photo with word 'LOGIN' and there is no option to do so

Forgetting the miserable state of the world (thanks Donny t) for awhile...
Has been a rather dreary , wet April6 day up here at 48ºN/123ºW give to take a few 'minutes'.
Contrasts... Garry Oaks, still asleep.
