Video games are an overlooked medium for story telling. Arguably more immersive than passively reading a book, you get to experience the characters choices first hand.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (106 million copies sold to date), a tale set in the dying days of the Wild West is a fine example.

I’m reading The War of Don Emanuel’s Nether Parts.

The scenes of the casual violence are so free of judgment and glorification that all you have space for is your raw emotional reaction. And you are entirely responsible for it.

That is to say: A difficult read, for me.
