I’ve been watching House Hunters with my wife lately and while it’s easy to set my sights on rustic farmhouse and polished brass drawer pulls, the worst design trend of the past twenty years has got to be open concept. Different rooms please. We want a separation of mood and atmosphere.

So many moments on this album that keep me coming back. Here: that plodding, flat-tire bass and those girl-group harmonies totally ripped apart (twice!) by metallic, exorcism-by-guitar freakouts. Love someone else’s comp to Thin Lizzy’s ‘Still In Love.’
