Man about town, bon vivant
My neighbour says that she can put her compost in conventional plastic bags because the bags all get opened up and thrown away at the composter anyway. She says she learned this on Semaine Verte. Does anyone know if this is true? #montreal

Very happy that the city will end car traffic on Camilien-Houde. Sceptical about reducing parking around Beaver Lake. I fear that a lot of families will stop coming if there isn’t adequate parking. @alexnorrismontreal.bsky.social #poltmtl #projetmontreal

What if all federal parties promised that if they win the election, they’ll form a government of national unity, and invite members of the other parties to join their cabinet, with a mandate to set aside partisanry and focus on the trade war? #cdnpoli

“In total, about 60 per cent of Quebec’s prison population is in jail awaiting trial”
🚨THIS IS A VERY BIG DEAL AND YOU SHOULD CARE🚨

"There are hundreds of people jailed in Quebec every year for minor infractions. Why? Access to a fair trial is quietly becoming luxury most cannot afford."

TIL that #Montreal dumps 40% of its snow in the Francon quarry, forming a glacier that doesn’t fully melt in summer, and contains snow from as far back as 2008. A UQAM researcher wants to use this glacier to provide AC to the surrounding neighbourhoods.

If this poll accurately represents how Quebecers are boycotting the US, then the value of that boycott is in the billions per year.
