I’ve been looking at Bisa Butler’s art and I’m too in awe to move, breaths in shallow bursts, and this is how it feels when a thing clean takes your breath away. She paints with fabric and quilting y’all, echoing the ancestors, and I have chills, the kind you get in the presence of a true master.

Inspector Blake replacing the Duke in S5 of Miss Scarlet is quite good casting. He has that smoldering look to him, and the chemistry between these two heartbroken people is promising.

They cut down the Honey Locust by our window. Something about the root system. That tree had kept me company season after season as I sat writing, puzzling things out. But how strange to now discover other trees waiting to be seen. Change happens, but inspiration can live in other branches too.
