Most of the people I know who voted for him think the accusations are all part of a smear campaign. They also believe false things about what the Democrats intend to do and are afraid of them.

The problem the Dems have is that the far right has successfully created a strawman "policy" for them and they have been unable to break through that false perception in any meaningful way.

There are 31,290,000 people in Texas. 6,393,597 of them voted for Trump. 24,896,250 did not vote for Trump. This figure includes children, non-citizens, and the disenfranchised as well as the 4,835,250 who voted for Harris. You could have done a bit of math but I did it for you.

In addition, I know a lot of people who voted red due to believing many false things. The bubble is going to burst over the next 2 years or so as the consequences of MAGA laws start becoming obvious, and more and more people will be looking for solutions. We need to be ready with the solutions.

We need to change from "You voted for this," to "This is what we meant when we said it was a bad choice."
