Vote OUT both incumbents on Nov 4th (Tomorrow!).
November 3, 2025 at 3:08 PM
• Fat profit margins for Georgia Power [11.9% vs. industry norms of 9.7%.] and one of the highest paid CEOs in the state. While Georgia has among the top 5 power bills in the nation and shutoff rates for struggling families at 8X the national average.

SO much more …
November 3, 2025 at 3:08 PM
• Continued greenlighting of dangerous new gas & coal power when renewables and efficiency are cheaper!
November 3, 2025 at 3:08 PM
• 6 rate hikes since 2023 (up 30%), largely to pay for the economic disaster that was Plant Vogtle, the most expensive power plant ever built on earth at $36.5b. A comparably sized gas or solar+storage plant costs ~$2.5b.

To get bills under control and help Georgia catch up with states & countries leading the clean energy transition (and lowering costs), VOTE OUT the PSC incumbents on Nov 4! This isn’t about party—it’s about knowledge, policy, and serving the public.
October 23, 2025 at 1:06 AM
To keep monopolies from exploiting customers, the Public Service Commission (PSC) was created to watchdog Georgia Power. Its job? Serve the public & keep rates low. Anyone paying a GA Power bill knows—the current PSC has been nothing short of an EPIC FAIL.
October 23, 2025 at 1:06 AM
The current PSC is completely bought & sold. The good news: we have a great opportunity to do something about this by voting the incumbents OUT on November 4th. Early voting Oct 14 - 31. VOTE THEM OUT!
October 21, 2025 at 3:20 PM
- sweetheart deals for data centers which the rest of us pay for.
- still greenlighting gas & coal plants when solar + storage and efficiency are now cheaper
October 21, 2025 at 3:20 PM
The Georgia Public Service Commission hasn't been serving the public for YEARS! The current crop - who are supposed watchdogs over a monopoly - are LAPDOGS:

- rates up 60% since 2010 and 30% since 2023
- bloated profits for Georgia Power
October 21, 2025 at 3:20 PM
No wonder this incumbent doesn’t want you to vote.

Let’s fix this.
Vote for clean energy, accountability, and fairness this November 4.

VOTE for Peter Hubbard & Alicia Johnson
October 21, 2025 at 2:01 AM
In just two years, they’ve approved six rate hikes — making you pay for:
• Plant Vogtle’s massive cost overruns
• Georgia Power’s record profits and executive bonuses
• More fossil fuel plants instead of cheaper renewables and efficiency
October 21, 2025 at 2:01 AM
Vote them OUT!
Election Day: November 4th
Early voting: October 14-31. **Statewide election—everybody gets to vote for both seats

· Money flows like water from Georgia Power law firms & others with business before the PSC to current Commissioners’ campaigns. The PSC is the worst in the nation.
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
· Clean energy is now cheaper than fossils—but Georgia Power keeps building gas plants & burning coal in ones meant to close (more profit for them). They also crush solar rights, making rooftop solar costly—all thanks to this reckless PSC.
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
· Bloated Georgia Power ROE (AKA. profit margins) of 11.9% vs the national average of 9.7%. That pencils out to over $700 million in excess profits annually over what most US utilities earn!
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
They’re SUPPOSED to be a watchdog over Georgia Power’s monopoly... but the current crop must’ve missed that part of the job description.

·6 rate hikes in 2 years—mostly to pay for the Plant Vogtle disaster: 10 yrs late, $20B over budget, 10× the cost of gas or solar+storage.
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Is your Georgia Power bill enormous?
Are you concerned about climate change?

We have a chance to do something about it on November 4th! Two of five Public Service Commission seats are up for election on November 4.
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
The good news: we can DO SOMETHING about this by voting 2 incumbents OUT in the upcoming PSC election and replace them with an energy policy expert (Peter) and a Public Health expert (Alicia).
Election Day: Nov. 4; Early voting: Oct 14-31. **everybody gets to vote for both seats

b.) As a monopoly—publicly granted but illegal for anyone else—they face no competition, with captive customers & guaranteed profits. GA Power earns “cost plus” profits on all spending. National avg profit: 9.7%. GA Power: 11.9%—all enabled by the PSC.
October 15, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Not-so-fun facts about why we're all suffering skyrocketing Georgia Power bills:

a.) We’re paying for the most expensive plant ever—Plant Vogtle. Supposed to cost $10B & take 7–8 yrs. Instead: 15 yrs, $36.5B. GA Power made $17B while adding $18B in overruns—enabled by the PSC.
October 15, 2025 at 11:36 PM
The current PSC has never faced a rate hike they didn't approve or a dirty power plant they didn't greenlight (even though clean energy is now cheaper).
October 14, 2025 at 1:22 PM
We all know that power bills have spiked the past few years (30+% since 2023, with more rate hikes coming) but we can do something about it on Nov 4th by voting OUT the 2 incumbents on the ballot for Georgia Public Service Commission!
October 14, 2025 at 1:22 PM

Calling everybody—old, young, tall, short, Republican, Dem, or Independent.

Georgia Power has hit us all with 6 rate hikes in 2 years, bloated profits, dirty energy, and bad decisions. The Georgia Public Service Commission, our watchdog, has become their lapdog.
October 13, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Add in the other goodies regulatory commissioners granted Georgia Power and our rates have increased 37% in just two years. Instead of having bills lower than the national average to match Georgia's cost of living, Georgia Power bills are fifth highest in the nation.
