Ohhhh, how I wish my Dad were here to have a few choice words with djt. Maybe a medic and VET of U.S. Army Hospitals w/ Antifa activity in Japan-Germany-Korea could settle a few debates.

Speaking of vaccines... if you're 50+ ask yr doc abt Shingrix. I didn't know about a Shingles Vaccine after moving back to the US from years in Europe & wasn't informed by my PA. Result: Permanent Nerve Damage around my R eye. RESIGN, RFKjr.

Just a sunset memory from last night of a Water Taxi gliding across Boston Harbor toward the city. Have a good day, wherever you are.

This is facial Shingles. Over 2 yrs ago & nerve damage requires daily treatment. Get yr Shingles vaccine while you can.

As women did during WWII. My Mom (in uniform, lower left with my Dad) and her friends staffed the U.S. Army Hospital in Coral Gables, FL c. 1946. So glad these people are not here to witness the "situation" at the DOD.

My first memories are as a child in a U.S. Army family stationed in Germany. Tomorrow is my late father's birthday... he would be 112. I think I'll spend the day feeling grateful that he died too soon to hear a GR chancellor make this sad statement.

From my family album, Dachau 1954, the monument reads. "To honor the dead and admonish the living." And the blood ditch was still there at that time...

Saves his country from what??? ANd for whom??? Blathering quotations from the Book of Napoleon will only get you so far... May I suggest a one-way ticket to Elba?

I happen to have a photo of that island, in case Pete can't find the coordinates.

Copies of my new book arrived today! Took the edge off an otherwise sad day in America to have my translation of "Jacques Roumain-The Complete Poems" in hand. Pairs nicely with my bio of this Haitian icon who lived many lives in his 37 yrs. Both available from Educa Vision/Caribbean Studies Press.

Just trying to keep my feed washed clean with ART from time to time. My fav foto of a Vaino Kola print. This Finnish artist loves snowy woods, and so do I.

It's getting late on Caturday, but here's a last-minute "find the cat" painting from Pierre Bonnard. Bon weekend!
