In our house it definitely involved a lot of crying and everyone just preferred snuggles so we just leaned in, we even had a little safer sleep bassinet in the bed.

Both kids coslept with us till they were about 3-4. We didn’t plan it that way but we all needed snuggles and I couldn’t handle sleep training. Do what’s best for your family.

I finally pulled the plug. I’ll miss what the paper was, but not what it’s become.

I'm documenting this with the hope that one day after I'm gone, my kids will read these messages and know that I always tried to protect them when no one else would.

In NYC 20 years ago you could get a room in a divided loft in Williamsburg for less than $800 a month. The same room would cost $1600 now. Salaries have not doubled.
