Inspired by nature, the subconscious, and love for the narrative. Artist, gardener, adventurer living in the Hudson Valley of NY. Dreaming of a day when we all get along.
I thought that this painting was appropriate for the times we are living in. It was painted during the Kavanagh hearings in 2018 and it is titled The Blue Wave. Oil on canvas.

It’s been so long since I have posted. I just came back from a two week Art Residency in Truro on Cape Cod and it was a fabulous experience. This is the last piece I created the day before I left collage and paint on paper.

Been a while since I have posted, but here’s a delightful fun new piece made with antique paper. And it’s already sold.

A small part of an in-progress painting after coming back from Mohonk- a very magical place - where for a few days I tried not to listen to the news and get depressed.

Things that keep me going, play in the studio, spring flowers, showing life. I hope you are all hanging in there.

It’s been 9 days since I’ve posted. Each day feels tender- I tell myself not to waste one precious moment as everything is changing so fast; the world- oozes fragile. This small piece is called : Taking Orange Back.

More experimentation using the gelli plate and limited palette. It reminds me of Rembrandt landscape etchings that I loved to look at when I was a young artist. Funny how these old memories creep back into our life through art.

Luscious valentine colors to make you smile. Creating this brought me much joy, so needed in these dark times. Hug the one you’re with.

I’m an intuitive artist except when I’m designing or painting a landscape. That means that I let the medium and my subconscious guide the outcome. It is often surprising to see what emerges. This is a quick sketchbook painting- done the other day, heavily influenced by constantly disconcerting news

Right now I’d love to be sitting on a beach-75°, with a light breeze and painting. Reality: it has not reached 32° in what feels like forever- and the snow on the driveway still hasn’t melted….

Looking to connect with artists/creatives/ kind people. I live in the Hudson Valley of NY where winter is cold so I’m in the studio nearly every day and love to post my explorations.

My first post here. I have no clue how this works, but looking forward to seeing how this site is. I post art, as I work nearly every day in the studio. It keeps me centered, and sane in a very crazy world.
