And if you are not one of those twenty you’re spending $110 annually plus $6/race (plus payouts) to make sure that those 20ish are able to be tracked competitively (?). The breakdown on their grant making is absolutely ridiculous too. I think it’s time to split USAC in half or split from them.

Regarding the salaries at USAC, I wonder what the breakdown for those are considered expenses for the Olympic and Paralympic programs vs. recreational cycling. I think that it would be a useful reminder for all that are racing CCC that it is essentially a beer league for all but maybe 20ish people.

I won’t count the expenses for officials as they are local people that received pay for their labor. Why do we need a USAC daddy when even a system like cross results do a better job of keeping track of results and individual points than USAC does.

I definitely have thoughts. Was working on some numbers to see how many dollars that CCC contributed via race fees (~ $20k in 2024) and licenses (~ $40k in 2024 - with caveat that there are 1 day licenses and also participants are also riding other USAC disciplines).

Which is really immaterial to them. They do not care what a study that does not align with their preconceptions says. Their attempts to stave off cognitive dissonance consume all of their functional brain power

What is particularly galling is that this is almost a year old and it’s received little to no attention. And even though it’s commissioned by the IOC the bigots will find ways to poke holes in it, not knowing (or really not caring) that their pet studies have larger holes in them.

It’s lunacy, and yet the hapless wannabe centrist right wing enablers are entertaining the worst of the worst from the right. I mean cmon chuck kirk as your first podcast guest? Was Andy Tate busy?
