United Statesian will never catch on in English because it sounds so very very bad. You can use whatever you want to use in Spanish though.

Germany has a different demonyn in pretty much every language and no one cares. Same principle

Demonyn's have never had an explicit uniqueness rule. There are plenty of overlapping names in the world. For the most part you can easily use context to determine if you are referring to a country or a continent,(or two continents) or otherwise structure your sentence to avoid confusion

One of the interviewed said he wanted Trump to lower Healthcare costs. Lol

No, but it's convenient for Republicans to pretend someone is. Local republican candidate in my deep red state ads have been screaming about the danger of Sharia law for months now. Nevermind every Muslim in the state could probably fit in a single football stadium.

More or less how we do it. 90% of stuff stays in its container. Just take it out the fridge and top it yourself. So you basically just have the meat and fresh chopped veggies to deal with. It really cuts down on dishes

A lot of weekend update bits are "let's make them say something terrible and hope they break during broadcast"

People have memory holded the cheap lazy meals of the past

Doordash has had disastrous financial consequences for the lazy, which is apparently damn near everyone

For all of the jokes about the left being a circular firing squad, I still don't think I've seen anything that proves that she was abandoned by the left and that made her underperform. Wasn't it the squishy middle that broke for Trump? It's really hard to tell even hindsight

I don't think these people actually have any understanding about the work that people actually do in government writing regs

Sony wasn't making the actual panels for their high end tvs anyway. So an LG panel with Sony software and TCL manufacturing might not be that different from the current status quo. Especially if the Sony tax drops a bit.

Pivoting every damn statement towards affordability, even in the face of evils that deserve scorn for their own sake, is a Rubiobot level gaffe. You can't just stick to your carefully crafted talking points every time you open your mouth. It makes you look dumb and mealymouthed

It's already added to bread, flour, rice, cornmeal, and pasta. This literally just seems to be fixing a loophole that missed a staple grain

45 minutes of ads is solved by assigned seating. You can just show up when the movie actually starts and still have your preferred seat. It's hard to retrain myself to not walk in until 30 minutes after the posted showtime, but it works

Movies on Xmas is very common among Christians too. When I worked at the movie theater Christmas was a time of year when every theater was packed. It's an easy thing to do with the entire family and there is usually a new Disney movie out.

He said "as you know by now" implying that whatever he was gonna do would be done by the time the receiver got the letter. And he ended with "life is unfair". Suicide is most obvious implication.

I've seen some stuff that says whole word reading mirrors how early/fast readers do it. So it does work well for some, but teaching people how advanced readers think, doesn't end up making everyone good at reading. Same with math

Xander never getting a redemption arc kinda sucked. In the last few seasons it felt like his character was even regressing
December 17, 2025 at 8:26 PM
To me this ignores the intensely partisan nature of the vibes these days. If you sort by party affiliation, Republicans thought the economy was trash from 2020-2024, then immediately flipped once Trump was elected. And Democrats did the opposite. Trump/Biden hate overwhelms most other signals

College being extremely expensive leads directly to people being utilitarian about everything. Hard to be enthusiastic about non-major related electives when part of your brain is going "well that's another $10k into the crushing student debt pile" Double the regret if you found the class tedious

Students look at the 100k+ price tag for a four year degree and say it damn well should be job training for that much.

Biggest problem with ocean stuff is that ocean water is notoriously corrosive and will gunk up everything.

But solve that and it's fine. Maybe underlake would be a better start.

The general death of the internet outside of certain sites has been catastrophic. Forums are dead, blogs that aren't just SEO platforms for influencers are dead. Even before AI the SEO blogspam meant that you had trouble finding real people talking about anything, now it's even more difficult

Because it's private and not really that tiny when you don't have to share that space with as many people. Also direct to destination and outside of any bus schedule

I don't think people used to self driving cars would view the bus as a quality upgrade

I think this is trickier than it seems. Everyone performs better on standardized testing with more time. If the extended time becomes the default, the neurotypical kids have time to triple check their work and the others are just barely able to finish. And you are kinda back where you started.
