One route turns syngas into ethanol, then uses a process called Alcohol-to-Jet to produce the fuel. The other, called Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis, feeds syngas into a reactor to produce fuel.

Thanks for engaging! That’s correct, CO2 isn’t the fuel. This research focuses on a life cycle assessment of two methods that start with the CO2 released from ethanol production and turn that into syngas.
