The first local trains in Manchester are just a year away from becoming part of the Bee Network (still operates by Northern). @andyburnham.bsky.social led an event unveiling the livery today at Manchester Piccadilly. #BeeNetwork

Well it's been a lovely week to be on holiday in the sun, that's all I can say.

Ah yes, famous Frenchman Egan #Bernal. Wearing his Colombian national champs jersey for no reason in particular. 🧐

Another great job by Amazon! 🙄

How could they possible know this wasn't a place for vans to park?!?!

This "window seat" on Avanti is really leaving quite a lot to be desired.

Either Chris Mason didn't read the below by @willdunn.bsky.social or this is some kind of retort.

The question of how long Osborne/Cameron/all the others could blame Labour *was* asked. Even by the Spectator! But not, it seems, by the BBC.

Related: this is a very good book on the relationship between the American commercial behemoth and the Christian Right.

Can't recall if this is one @sethcotlar.bsky.social recommended but it might well be.

Don't drink and drive, folks. Never worth it.

(From what the police said, the driver isn't badly hurt)

Welsh club rugby... Bridgend vs Swansea (Pen-Y-Bont vs Abertawe).

It's pretty indicative of The State of Welsh Rugby™️ that they can't even organise the teams to wear different colours!

Oh I think it works fine (haven't seen one for maybe 20 years, but doesn't mean they don't exist)
April 23, 2025 at 12:24 PM
Oh this is bad, this is really bad.

This is also quite funny. But it's really also bad.

Official, I'm not sure. And there will absolutely be those that slip through gaps.
But bikes like this, with after-market attachments (often badly fitted) like the frame bag battery and oversized rear hubs are pretty easy to spot (imo).

It used to say "SLAY" which is a very UK student thing to do with post-it notes on a student accom window.

But it's not lasted and does seem to read "SLAV" which is... Less common 😂

Huh, a year since a van decided to blow up outside my flat.

The noise and heat was amazing. Very much enjoyed the non plussed fire fighters who turned up, shrugged, put it out, sighed, and left.

New: UK train operators' punctuality and cancellation stats will be shown to passengers on station screens. At smaller stations passengers can scan a QR code to be taken to the relevant stats online.

Is this useful, or will rail travellers simply ignore it?
