Proud to note that our 2013 paper in the Lancet series on nutrition has reached 1,000 citations in Google Scholar. Not a lot, maybe, for earth science and climate papers, but quite a lot for a single nutrition article. Great that it still has legs!

We can change some short-term household outcomes (like dietary diversity) through behaviour change interventions; but chronic poverty and food insecurity hinder deeper impacts. New paper on research in Uganda.

Oyster mushroom in my garden. These mushrooms are carnivorous. To get needed nitrogen, they secrete a toxin that stuns passing nematode worms. Apparently, thr mushroom then sends out fibres to find the worm, enter its mouth and suck out the guts. And here I was going to fry it up.for tea....
