Vermont, like much of the U.S., lacks affordable dental care.

On Tuesday, I visited the future home of Detroit Mercy’s new dental clinic in Colchester.

When students arrive in 2027, this facility will help tackle our dentist shortage & become the largest dental facility in VT.

As winter arrives, over one million Gazans lack shelter, with 92% of housing destroyed by Israel.

In violation of the ceasefire, Netanyahu continues to restrict the entry of tents and other aid, including food.

The U.S. must demand that Israel allow full humanitarian access NOW.
Lack of tents, food and warm clothes leaves Gazans exposed ahead of winter
As winter approaches in Gaza, more than a million residents are vulnerable to extreme weather and disease, as Israeli restrictions hobble the humanitarian response.

I stand in solidarity with the Starbucks workers on strike.

When a corporation can pay $96 million to its CEO for just four months of work, it can afford to pay its workers a living wage and decent benefits.

I’m voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year.

All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

At a time when Trump wants to double premiums and throw 15 million off the health care they have, please remember that the U.S. is the only major country on Earth not the guarantee health care to all as a human right.

We must pass Medicare for All.

I want to see this shutdown ended as soon as possible.

What we need is an agreement that will protect health care for the American people.

But if there's no legislation that will pass the House and be signed by President Trump, it will simply be meaningless gesture.

People fought and died to defend our democracy.

We need a government and an economy that work for all of us, not just a handful of wealthy campaign donors.

That's the nationalism I believe in.

This is what oligarchy looks like:

If you're Elon Musk, the richest man alive, Tesla gives you a $1 trillion pay package & Trump gives you a huge tax break.

If you're a poor kid on SNAP, Trump appeals a court decision that would have prevented you from going hungry.

Obscene.

Stop the doubling of health care premiums for 20 million Americans. Stop 15 million from losing their health care. Immediately reopen the government.

Democrats must not cave to Trump now.

We cannot allow health care premiums to double, 15 million to lose their health insurance and Trump’s authoritarianism to accelerate.

To surrender now would be a historic tragedy for our country, something history won’t look kindly upon.

No, Mr. President.

You do not have the right to take away student debt forgiveness from teachers, nurses, veterans and other public servants if they do not show loyalty to your right-wing political agenda.

This is a democracy, not a dictatorship. Rescind this illegal rule.
Trump moves to block public servants from loan forgiveness based on ideology
Those who work with undocumented immigrants, provide gender transition care for minors or publicly protest could be blocked from student loan forgiveness under a new rule.
