😆 If I wanted to listen to someone spew sycophantic, cultish, moronic, MAGA BS all day, I could just watch Fox News - the entertainment outlet that was forced to pay $787 million for spewing the same senseless gibberish you’re slingin’. Your just another MAGA troll, looking for attention. Bye!

So true… and, sadly, I don’t see a fix for that in my lifetime. Either half the population is so clueless they can’t see how blatantly horrific a human he his… or they know exactly how despicable and hateful he is, and they love him for it. Either way, I don’t see a solution for the Cult of Trump.

So clueless. Good Lord.
January 26, 2025 at 2:00 AM
What’s your favorite speech of his? Was it the one where he rambled incoherently about sharks, batteries and Hannibal Lecter or the one where he described Arnold Palmer’s penis to his supporters? He’s been bragging about passing a test for dementia, for years, which just proves that he’s an idiot.
January 26, 2025 at 1:48 AM
…yet you can’t see any of that, for some strange reason, like many couldn’t see that Stalin, Putin and Hitler were monsters. The world is full of fools who only see what they want to see. That’s how monsters like Trump rise to power - cultish sycophants who are blind to their depravity.
January 26, 2025 at 1:08 AM
I’m not sure what you’re trying to convince me of, Mr. Defeat, but you’re never going to convince me that Trump isn’t an utterly corrupt, greedy, bigoted, treasonous, felon with the mind of a spoiled, dimwitted, child. I know these things for a fact, regardless of any polls. It’s blatantly obvious.
January 26, 2025 at 1:03 AM
But you DID say that he was popular. You asked me if I would celebrate his victory with “the majority of Americans?” The majority are not “celebrating” his victory. Most of the US and the world distrusts or dislikes Trump - the sexual assaulter who was impeached twice and has 34 felony convictions.
January 26, 2025 at 12:54 AM
He was indicted dozens more felonies that he was never prosecuted for. But he was convicted on all 34 charges he was prosecuted for. Getting re-elected was his “get out of jail free” card… but that doesn’t mean he was innocent of any of those charges or the ones that were still pending. He’s a felon
January 26, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Most Presidents start their Presidency with fairly high approval ratings. What really counts is where they end up. But, you’re right - there are a lot of morally bankrupt and ignorant voters. A twice impeached felon’s re-election is proof of that, especially after his multiple coup attempts.
January 26, 2025 at 12:04 AM
It’s funny that you keep arguing that Trump is so popular… while simultaneously arguing that our democracy isn’t about popularity. The irony escapes you, I guess? And, as I said before, Nixon, Putin and Hitler were/are popular as well, and I’m sure you would have voted for them too. You like fascism
January 25, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Insurance companies are bailing because of the extreme weather events caused by… global warming… which is caused by “Drill Baby Drill”, the idiotic Republican mantra.
January 25, 2025 at 11:36 PM
"The electorate" includes all eligible voters, not just the ones who voted, fyi. So, you can say that he was slightly more popular than Kamala Harris (the last minute replacement for Joe Biden) among those who voted... but that's about as far as the facts will take you. Your gaslighting aint workin'
January 25, 2025 at 9:39 PM
From Five Thirty Eight. The electoral college does not represent the people, directly. In fact, the electoral can subvert the will of the people, which is how he "won" in 2016. You said "the majority of Americans" and then changed it to "the electorate" but neither are true.
January 25, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Ugh. Mel Gibson turns my stomach.
January 25, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Trump has also indicated he wants to silence his critics, just as Hitler and other despots have done. Simply SAYING he believes in free speech is meaningless if he actively works to suppress it... like when he paid hush money to his side pieces to keep them quiet. Convicted on 34 felonies for that.
January 25, 2025 at 9:16 PM
And popularity isn't a measure of decency, competence, or adherence to the law or democracy. Lots of horrible leaders, throughout history, have been popular and won elections. Nixon was wildly popular. Hitler was super popular. Putin is very popular. The worst people, ever, are sometimes popular.
January 25, 2025 at 9:12 PM
I said that he is a direct THREAT to our rights, among several other things. I never even mentioned the Bill of Rights... but some of those are under threat from Trump. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, etc. He's just getting started. He's only been President for 5 days.
January 25, 2025 at 9:00 PM
And you conveniently tried to change your original comment from the "majority of Americans" to "the electorate" because you knew your first claim was false... but "the electorate" would include the 90 million who didn't vote, despite the fact that polls show that the majority opinion is unfavorable.
January 25, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Trump is underwater in favorability, as usual and about 90 million eligible voters didn't vote. He won the popular vote for the first time, ever, by only 1.4% and he only did that by running against a woman of color who was thrown in at the last minute, in a country steeped in racism and misogyny.
January 25, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Trump owes a lot to Mitch McConnell. Trump wouldn’t be President today without Mitch’s help. Mitch could’ve convicted and removed Trump… twice… but chose to let him get away with extorting Zelensky and repeated coup attempts. Mitch shares a lot of blame for both Trump terms.
January 25, 2025 at 8:41 PM
The “majority of Americans are not celebrating and I’ve understood, from the beginning, that Trump was a vicious, bigoted, corrupt, self-serving, sociopatic, moron who is a direct threat to our safety, rights, freedom and our democratic republic. But I see that you’re a fan! Yay for you!
January 25, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Our corrupt Supreme Court granted Trump nearly unlimited power. Trump no longer has to follow the law. SCOTUS said the law doesn't apply to the President... so he's going to do whatever he feels like and call it an "official act" of the President... and SCOTUS will back him up. No one will stop him.
January 25, 2025 at 7:53 PM
We should send the Senator some knee pads. He's gonna need 'em.
