The New Yorker on April 28, 2025 had an article titled “Follow the Leader: A culture of obedience reigns in Trump’s Washington.” People/Politicians/Journalists in Washington have every right to feel afraid: angry mobs, brutal press, death threats. We are better than this.

The past few months, I used X to get information. In some ways, it’s the only game in town. Then after Elon’s Oval Office send off this week, President Trump praised X as being “free speech.” Well, it’s not free speech. That platform can delete anybody easily.

From a distance, these trucks are ugly. Same in pictures. But if you are a yard away, and think of it as a sculpture, look it up and down, side to side, the Cybertruck is beautiful.
