@thejeopardyfan.com my 90 second internet search yielded a clip of a classical scholar (at least self proclaimed) clearly pronouncing “horribilis” in three syllables. If there are recorded instances of this pronunciation is Mehal’s answer not an acceptable spelling? Do have expert insight on this?
