Re Philly Special Jaxson Dart sense of direction: the people in UT are convinced they have a great sense of direction because they always know where NSEW are. It's because they have huge mountains around the city that are always visible to the E and W. When they leave UT they don't have those refs.

Here's a question for your next mailbag: it seems like every year the Eagles have a so-so start, then there's a bye (or mini-bye) and then things get fixed (maybe). What might that process look like on a day-by-day basis? How much interaction is there between players and coaches?

The fact is that AI has essentially achieved a level of mediocrity that companies are too lazy to improve on at this point as they start looking towards the next big thing. So things are not going to improve much in the next 5 years (at least). It's going to be a looong plateau.

Don't know anything about the reputation of the Canadian press (I guess that's good cuz we've heard a lot about the UK press?) but it would seem like a good biz opportunity for some Canadian newspaper to boost its US coverage (see Handmaid's Tale: art / reality) . Philly Inquirer also for the moment

This is very possible. But it's also possible that by becoming president he has achieved Goal 1 which was to stay out of jail, and that at his age and being a lame duck he just goes to the golf course for 4 years and basks in the adoration of his followers. Everything else requires too much effort.

Which of course brings up something else nobody's talking about. I think Trump will spend MUCH more time playing golf than his last term. He starts as a lame duck, stayed out of prison, doesn't care about governing, wants to grift and pay zero taxes. All prime golf course activities.

I think that anybody else in his entourage looking for more egregious forms of evil may be disappointed because he only cares about himself. They'll suggest and beg, but he'll only do it if there's something in it for him. Otherwise he'll be focused on how soon he can hit the golf course.

So what will he do with this unchecked power? I think as usual it comes down to whatever is good for Trump. 90% is probably financial. But I think that 10% or more of ego/narcissism could lead to more ugly and dangerous outcomes for people/groups he sees as "dangerous" to him.

There's a difference though. Berlusconi spent his time in power raging against the communist judges who were out to get him, while in the US the position is that the president can't be prosecuted (not even after for "official acts"). And congress is on his side. So...completely unchecked.
