Yes it's possible, but it's more indirect than that... The ICJ will rule on the border question next year, it's likely Venezuela will ignore the ruling. Guyana is hoping the more allies they gain through diplomacy, the stronger claims to the territory will be - partners who can dissuade Maduro.
