The idea that tariffs will bring manufacturing jobs back:
Building a factory takes long term planning & 3-5yrs to complete.
By then we will have a new President with their own agenda or Trump may back off of these sooner.
Why would a CEO make a massive investment like that w/so many unknowns?

The President straight up lied when he said the US is now charging tariffs at half the rate other countries charge. They made up those tariffs out of whole cloth. We now likely have the highest tariffs in the developed world, and even higher than many developing countries.
